Sharing Our Writing

These first graders are amazing writers. They are writing all sorts of different things. Some students are turning to their favorite authors and using them as mentors: Mo Willems or Steve Jenkins. Others are writing books all about topics that interest them or things from their lives.

Here one young man is sharing a fabulous book he wrote. The title is Animals A-Z. He wrote one page for each letter about a different animal. It took weeks and lots of hard work. This is the sort of thing happening everyday!
